Dr Isabella
Moore CBE
Director
As the founder of Comtec back in 1981, Isabella brings a wealth of experience gained from working in the translation industry for over 40 years. Originally qualifying as a Polish interpreter, with Honorary Fellowships from both the Chartered Institute of Linguists and the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, Isabella is a dedicated linguist. But it doesn’t stop there – Isabella was also the first female President of the British Chamber of Commerce, the Vice President of the Euro Chambers and the CEO of CILT, the National Centre for Languages. She was awarded a CBE in the 2004 New Year’s Honours List for services to industry and languages.
Isabella’s thirst for learning never ceases to amaze her Comtec colleagues. She has been awarded a doctoral degree by Aston Business School based on her research findings on gendered aspects of entrepreneurship in later life.
