The client
Klöckner Pentaplast is the global leader in high-barrier protective packaging. With locations on every continent and over 5,900 employees worldwide, effective internal communications are essential for keeping the workforce informed and engaged with company news.
The challenge
Klöckner Pentaplast came to Comtec for support translating a variety of internal comms and marketing materials into their core 11 languages.
How we did it
From video subtitles to newsletters, we’ve supported Klöckner Pentaplast across a wide range of projects and mediums, delivering end-to-end localisation since 2017. This ongoing partnership has allowed us to build an extensive collection of internal translation resources for them, such as glossaries and translation memories.
These tools are regularly reviewed by Klöckner Pentaplast’s team so that we can make sure we’re keeping them up to date and relevant. This means that they are never paying for the same translation twice and helps to speed up each project, ensuring accuracy and saving on costs.
One of the biggest areas of impact we’ve had for Klöckner Pentaplast is managing their market review process. We understand that getting feedback for 11 different languages can easily escalate into a logistical nightmare. Time differences and varied ways of working in each market can all be tricky to manage.
As part of our work with Klöckner Pentaplast we have established and continued to manage their market review process. Our team liaises directly with local market reviewers in each country. Using our bespoke technology, MemoQ, the local teams can log onto a secure platform and provide their feedback seamlessly at the click of a button.
Our linguists then review and make any amends. By managing the review process from start to finish we streamline the entire process, saving valuable time and budget. Due to the success of the internal comms and marketing translations, other departments in Klöckner Pentaplast, including Finance, Legal, and Human Resources, have also partnered with us for ad-hoc translations.
Our knowledge of the company has allowed us to help across the organisation.
